Easy Bird Feeders To Make With Your Kids
July 29th, 2008 | by squirrelcop |Squirrel Proof Bird Feeders can be expensive, especially some of the motorized models. Not only can these bird feeders be pricey but many just make it more difficult not impossible for squirrels to use.
Making simple bird feeders is a great alternative to the commercial bird feeders, and they make a great project for your children. Here’s a super easy bird feeder to make that is cheap using an empty, clean bleach bottle. The bottles can be painted for fun or to compliment your back yards decor. You can also try using a 2 liter pop bottle instead for the feeder.
The nice thing about this bird feeder is that it’s is held up by a thin wire, which makes it hard for squirrels to grab onto. Just remember to hang the bird feeder far enough away from a tree or wall so they can’t jump on the feeder. Remember it’s all about location, location, location.
I hope you enjoy this easy bird feeder to make with your children.
